Facebook post 2, aviso de Hermana Gomez

"Hints or recommendations for taking the English test:  You need to practice conjugation of tenses in English.  They ask about things in the past, present and future. Learn as many verbs as possible, using the white language study guide.  During the day, I tried to describe actions, situations, and things in  English.  When I did not know the meaning of something, I would note it in my agenda, and at night, after planning I would look them up in the dictionary, using each at least three times in three different phrases to learn better.

Do not let it bother you when your companion corrects you.  On the contrary, study more and ask how things are pronounced--the best way to say something and other ways different of referring to something to extend your vocabulary.  If your companion speaks English try to make the best possible use of your time with him or her.  It will help you very much and give you more confidence.  Also having listened to the application of the language, your ear will be more accustomed to hear English and understand more rapidly. From Sister Starkey--Bring home a wonderful gift to your family--a new language and ability to support yourself  (and think about what it will mean to your companion that might learn.)

I met a returned missionary in Salamá last Sunday, who told me that he did not think about applying his time to learn English on his mission.  When he returned home, he could not find work.  This young man is now learning English full-time in the capital, so that he will have the skills needed to work and live where he would like.  Your mission (now) is your time to prepare!
...Shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, brethren [and sisters]; and on, on to the victory!  (D&C128:22)

(Doctrina y Convenios 128:22)
